invisible men and women title

Despite the fact that historically African-Americans have been underrepresented at A&M, and they only account for 3 percent of the student population, they have nonetheless had a remarkable presence since first entering 37 years ago.

African-American students have participated in many A&M traditions and created a number of traditions of their own. They have promoted diversity and continuously challenged the Texas A&M community to work to achieve a greater degree of diversity. Though the African-American community remains small, it has made a "home" for itself here at A&M despite the difficulties.
