- 28. Two Poems
The 1930's (cont.)
In 1934, the Von Boeckmann-Jones Company of Austin printed Two Poems by Emily Bronte in an edition of sixty copies for Miss Fannie Ratchford of The University of Texas Wrenn Library. Handset in Goudy’s Italian Old Style type, the folio-size book was printed on a richly-textured handmade paper from J. Batchelor & Son. With its dignified three-piece binding of light gray boards and white vellum spine, two-color title page, tipped-in watercolor frontispiece, careful and uniform inking, and generous page margins, this edition of the Two Poems can take its place with the best the era had to offer.
